Zara is the co-founder of Me and My Hijaab and Me and My Community. A married 25 year old mother of one, Zara is a freelance journalist and hopes to become a midwife and lactation consultant in the future, God willing. Khalida Bint John

Khalida is a 26 year old mother of two. She was married at 18 and and has been a Muslim for 5 years. She began wearing the hijaab at 18 but stopped after the birth of her son. She now wears the hijaab on and off, with the intention of permanently covering, “not only because I know it to be the right thing to do but also because I prefer it”, she says.
