The purpose of this blog is to create a sense of sisterhood, provide a support network for Muslim women who are “exploring” their Islamic identity and to create awareness regarding hijab and its misconceptions for Muslims and non-Muslims respectively. This blog is in no way a forum for debate, a place to discuss fataawa or rulings or to initiate arguments. Any rude comments will be deleted. If you have a serious bone to pick about any of the content on the blog, please adhere to correct manners and etiquette by e-mailing the admin (below). If you would like to use any of the posts on here, we would kindly ask that you cite the author and blog.
Would you like to write for “Me and My Hijaab”? Whether you have been wearing the hijaab for a while, have just put it on, or are contemplating wearing it- share your journey with us- we want to hear from YOU! Can you write poetry? Do you have advice for newly practising sisters? Or do you just LOVE our sisterhood? We want to hear from YOU too!
Are you a brother who wants to inspire your sisters, and tell them how much you appreciate their struggles regarding the hijaab? Are you a non Muslim who has watched a family member / friend become Muslim, and was inspired by their journey? We want to hear from YOU! Be a guest contributor for our “Hijaab- outside looking in” section.
